Your EVO 2010 Super Street Fighter 4 Champion is Daigo Umehara [Videos]

Daigo Umehara wins the grand finals against Ricky Ortiz on the worlds biggest fighting game stage, Evolution 2010.  What was surprising about this grand finals match was Justin Wong wasn’t in it as some might have hoped.  Actually, Justin was far from the grand finals by being surprisingly eliminated in the loser’s bracket semi-finals to GamerBee’s Adon.  To view the grand finals, go past the break.

EVO 2010 – Live Stream [Update]

EVO 2010 is now LIVE. Watch all the action in a live stream past the break as well as the full schedule of the tournament.

Just a fair warning though, the stream does have some video lag due to STICKAM being… STICKAM. Why did EVO decide to go with something different than UStream when it was doing well in the past? I think maybe a bigger company made them do it. Oh well, if you can handle the lag, go past the break.

Update – They are now broadcasting through UStream now. Good on them. Read On

Latest EVO 4G exploit shows that Flash is just as dangerous on your mobile

Latest EVO 4G exploit shows that Flash is just as dangerous on your mobile

OK, so you might think that an exploit allowing you to root your EVO 4G might be a good thing, and in yours, the owners, hands it is. But it’s a little worrying that Flash Lite, the much argued over mobile variant of Flash player, has at least one exploit that’s both relatively easy to access and gives you full control of the device. I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of Flash on the desktop for a multitude of reasons, not only for it’s vulnerability; but on a phone like the 4G, you might not even notice that your phone’s been taken over before you’ve inadvertently phoned a premium rate sex line on another continent for 10 hours. Try explaining that one to your network when you get a bill for $10000.
