Binary System Podcast #53 – A Pre-NYCC Two-fer!

That’s right, this week we recap TWO episodes of Welcome To Night Vale, episodes 94 and 95,  just because we want to give YOU all the content. It has nothing to do with the fact that we’re running a month behind. Nope. Anyway. Moving right along…

After we discussed Felicia Day’s guest appearance and how she was apparently dating a dragon, we went on to the final issue of More Than Meets the Eye, the last episode of The Night Manager (and how it’s true that Tom Hiddleston really is more of a lover than a fighter,) the last episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day, and (finally) our Doctor Who cosplays are ready for New York Comic Con! Keep an eye out for a gallery of NYCC pics, we’re going to get as many cosplay photos of everybody else that we can possibly get.

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog Live: GO SEE IT

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog Live: GO SEE IT

As of now, I’ve seen Dr. Horrible LIVE twice.  My companion and three friends enjoyed opening night, and then we came with four other people at the end of Gam3rCon.  It’s a testament to this show, itself an adaptation of an internet phenomenon, that it has so much to offer from multiple viewings.

My Constant Readers know me as a film critic, but I also dabble in local community theatre.  This show has the do-it-yourself energy and sense of ensemble that community theatre fosters.  It also has an immensely professional production staff.  As I previously reported, this is a stage creation assembled from a web sensation.  Designers David F. Weiner, Michael Lowe, Chris Rynne, Paul Peterson, Karen Li, and Jannifer Mah created a vivid world in the tiny 10th Avenue Theatre space out of walls, light, and shadow.  Pianist/conductor Korrie Paliotto’s crisp direction belies the fun energy the band brings.

[E3 2010] A run in with Felicia Day

While browsing around the Bethesda booth, I noticed that one of my favorite actresses was also in the booth.  I asked for a quick interview with her to find out which of the big 3’s press conference (Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation) she was most impressed with.  Of course she had to be a little biased since her home is with Microsoft.

But it’s ok. At least she was fair and honest about it. Don’t forget, the fourth season of the hit web series, The Guild, will be out on July 13th. Watch the video interview past the break.

Why should you watch The Guild?

Posted by: |

I stood in line for the first day of autographs from the cast members from The Guild for about a good 20 minutes during the San Diego Comic-Con preview night. I bought a Season 2 DVD (so should you) and got it signed by the cast members. While there, I asked them to tell you guys why you should watch this awesome web series, if you aren’t already watching it. Btw, sorry my wireless mic is kinda horrible. =(

In addition to buying a Season 2 DVD, I also got some free codes to download the complete first ever The Guild Music Video from the Xbox Live booth. I have some extras. If you want one, just send me an email. I promise, it’ll be one of the best videos you’ve ever seen. Probably second to A-HA’s Take On Me.
