Binary System Fan Art Gallery – 2016 Tributes

Obviously, 2016 was a tough year in terms of losing celebrities we love. And if you know anything about Binary System, you know we love a good piece of fan art, especially the ones that kick us right in the feels.

This collection is just a tiny portion of the art that pays tribute to a tiny portion of the well-known people who passed away. There’s no way that we can get everybody, but if you have a bit of memorial fan art you’ve found (or made!) please send it over so we can add it.

And geez, cross your fingers that we don’t have anybody else to add to the list in the next three days.

Lost in Sci-Fi: Episode 25: Star Trek Fandom Super Crew

This week Elizabeth and Leland take all their favorite fandoms and mix and match them into a Star Trek Super Crew! It’s strange, it makes no sense and it was super fun. So please download and enjoy as they each justify why and who they picked for their crew and then do some mild Keiko O’Brien bashing, because…it’s Keiko.  Read On

Lost in Sci-Fi: Episode 19: Firefly

This week Leland and Elizabeth get way lost in Joss Whedon’s “space western” show, Firefly. The little show that was taken way too early but got itself a movie and huge fan base. The crew breaks down their favs: characters and episodes. It’s a fun episode filled with lots of love towards the show, and towards Nathan Fillion himself, and how we’re still mad about Wash. So please download and huzzah with us.  Read On

WonderCon 2015 – An interview with Greg Edmonson

Fans of Joss Whedon’s Firefly know and love the beautiful score that accompanied it: a mix of Eastern and Western instruments with a folk music style, perfect for the dystopian future many call “A Western In Space.”

At this year’s WonderCon PixelatedGeek had the honor of talking with the man who created that music: Greg Edmonson. See below for the video, where he talks about working with Joss Whedon, his continuing love for Firefly, and what he’s working on now.

Review: Serenity – Leaves On the Wind

What Firefly fans want most is not a second season that picks up ten years after the last episode. They don’t want a Serenity Two that meets up with our favorite characters a decade later. What fans want most is a second season that picks up exactly where season one left off; same characters, same ship, everybody the exact same age where we last saw them.

As this is physically impossible without time-travel, Dark Horse is attempting the next best thing: Leaves on the Wind, a brand new Firefly book that takes place less than a year after Serenity.

Based on the first issue, I’m very optimistic about the series.
