Weekly Geek Question!

Ah, another week and another question pertaining to all things geek.

In fact, the “Geek Question” will be coming up on its year anniversary soon. That’s 260 questions that we’ve come up with in an effort to talk more with you. Some of our geeky questions have become topics on the podcast with your answers helping us keep our conversation going.  Other answers have delighted us with their creativity and humor.

Last week we had some fun activity as the battle for Time and Space raged on. One’s the final frontier and the other just shows you that your kids grow up to be jerks.

Geek Question! You are given the choice to have the power of time travel OR space travel. You can not have both in any way, so which do you choose?

Weekly Geek Question!

Wouldn’t it be great to have a sidekick in life?  Many of us probably see our best friends as our own sidekicks, but what if we could upgrade them… WITH LASERS?

That would be pretty amazing, right?  Maybe make them a mobile hotspot so you can always have Wifi no matter where you are.

There have been so many robot sidekicks that it’d be tough to decide on which one you’d want, but that’s what we do here at Comic Issues.  We ask the tough questions!  Get down to brass tacks!  And other such cliches!

So this week for our Geek Question we asked:
Geek Question! If you could have any robot sidekick that currently exists in fiction. Who would it be?

Happy belated Father’s Day to all the Fathers and Daddies-to-be out there from Comic Issues and Pixelated Geek. Hopefully you all got the peace and quiet you’ve been working on all year.

Now that it’s over though we’re back to work making the world a little bit geekier, one question at a time.  This week we had another fun week of questions but only one rose above the rest to become Geek Question of the Week.

This week called out to Facebook and Twitter for an answer to:
Geek Question! As nerds we live for great moments in fiction be it reading, movies, or video games. What was the last jaw dropping moment you’ve read, watched, or played?

Weekly Geek Question

Welcome back, my friends, to Weekly Geek Question, a little article making sure you are not missing out on what is happening in the Comic Issues Community.

This week it’s raining men in comics as talk of Northstar marrying his boyfriend has been a buzz seconded only by DC’s mysterious new legacy gay character.  *Spoiler Alert* It’s Alan Scott, but then again, he isn’t as popular as DC may think he is.

What is popular right now is the trailer for DC’s new Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting game featuring 28 of DC’s biggest characters. Just last Thurday Gamespot.com released the teaser trailer for the newest fighting game to come out of NetherRealm, the makers of Mortal Kombat.  Although we’ve seen DC and MK team up before, we’ve never seen DC character go at it like this; so we’ve asked our community:

Geek Question! Looks like we’re getting a badass DC fighting game, maybe Marvel drops the Capcom and takes on their publishing rivals. What DC hero are you looking forward to playing first?

Happy belated Geek Pride, Towel, and Star Wars Day friends!  Hopefully you let your geek flag fly in full force.  At Comic Issues we spend everyday like it’s Geek Pride Day and as always we like to share our nerdy thoughts with all of you with daily Geek Questions every Monday through Friday on Facebook and Twitter.

This week we looked back to all the actors who’ve donned a pair of tights and fought for the little guy.  The best Geek Question of last week was:

Geek Question! Over the weekend an interesting question was posed to us, so we thought we’d pass it on to you. Who’s been your favorite actor to play a superhero?

Weekly Geek Question

As another week begins we look back to see what we’ve missed and what’s still worth talking about.  Avengers beat Battleship at the box office (to little surprise to anyone) while still fighting with the X-Men.  Facebook is worth even more money now than it was a week before.

What you also may have missed is last week’s “Geek Questions” from the Comic Issues social media pages. Fear not, my friends, as I am here to bring you the best of last week’s questions.  Join in on the conversation and you can get a shout out on the Comic Issues Podcast!

This week’s best question was:

Geek Question! Earlier today we posted the first clip from Superman vs. The Elite and that got us wondering. Who’s your favorite Superman villain?

Weekly Geek Question!

Hey geeks! Hope you all had a good mother’s day and took her out for some lunch.  She’s letting you stay in her basement, you could at least take her to The Sizzler.

It was another great week for the Comic Issues Social Media.  We had a lot of fun giving praise to the mothers of our favorite heroes, comics in the 90′s, and figure out a JLA cast for the movie that may never happen.  The best question of last week though had to be this one:

Geek Question! Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a baby dragon for a pet? Or a displaced beast to chase the door to door salesmen? If you could have a magical creature as a pet, what would it be? (non-humanoid)

Weekly Geek Question!

What happens when you combine four of Earth’s mightiest heroes (and most valuable franchises) in a movie written and directed by a man with so much geek cred Stan Lee has a poster of him taped to the wall?

You get The Avengers (review here), this past weekend’s record breaking success!  The excitement for this epic film has been tangible, reaching Galactus-sized proportions in the past few weeks.  Comic Issues has been fanning the flames (Facebook/Twitter) asking their fans what they love about The Avengers.  From the heroes to the villains, fans have made it obvious why they’ve been around for nearly 50 years.

Now we want you to join in on the conversation with the best Geek Question of last week:
Geek Question! We’ve celebrated the good and the bad, but now it’s time to get ugly. Who do you think has been the worst Avenger of all time?

Weekly Geek Question!

If there’s one thing we like to do at Comic Issues it’s talking about some geeky stuff.  This is why every weekday Comic Issues posts a “Geek Question” on our Facebook and Twitter pages.  The question ranges from current events to age old questions that have been asked time and time again.  We do it because we love talking to our fans and we want to engage them and include them in our topics.  That’s why we also include some of the best geek questions on the podcast.

To make sure that no listener is left out we’ll be posting our best Geek Question of the week here for everyone else to participate.  Be sure to leave your answers in the comment section below so you can be a part the conversation.

She’s Got Game Weekly Wrap Up: January 15 – 20

Welcome to “She’s Got Game Weekly Wrap Up”!  The newest weekly series that will focus on what news organizations and the geek culture have been talking about from the feminine perspective.  This series highlights what it means to be a woman in the gaming and geek culture — all the good, the bad and the downright ugly.  This week we have Booth Babes at CES, informal research on why men are choosing to play female RPG characters, how Miyazaki films are beneficial to young girls, Wikipedia’s call for women authors and Kotaku’s less-than-spectacular “Top 40″ list.
