Shoot Your Eye Out With DIY Star Trek Phaser

Modder jayrob from Laser Pointer Forums made me envious not only his clean modding skills but the deadly accuracy of his home brewed Star Trek Phaser. This hack will certainly give you the upper hand in your next office war when your colleagues whip out Airzooka’s and rubber bands.

Pac-Man Roomba

YouTube Preview Image

I’ve seen people all over YouTube do some pretty geeky hacks to their Roombas.  From making it play mario music to giving cats a piggy back ride. But this is the best and most complex hack I’ve seen with a Roomba so far. Program 5 Roombas to play a huge game of Pac-Man.

Laser Lighter – a step forward in smoking apparel

YouTube Preview Image

So you’ve got your Bic cheapo lighter, or even a wind proof Zippo, but wouldn’t you rather ditch that last century tech in favour of a laser? Sure you would!

Well today is your lucky day as modder extrodinaire KipKay shows you how to turn your ancient $1 fire stick into a awesome blue laser lighter. Just be warned folks, smoking and blinding people with the laser is both hazardous to yours and your victims health and a douchebag thing to do.

If you’re the kind of person who likes to hack up stuff and mod your kit into wild and/or better versions then you might want to take a quick trip over to KipKay as he’s got all sorts of mods, from toy radar gun to real radar gun to the rocket powered matchbox car.

iPhone 3.0.1 update is live

Block the Haxor!

Block the Haxor!

The patch to solve the SMS vulnerability of the iPhone firmware up to 3.0 is live and available in iTunes. So get on and download the patch (some 280Mb!) before some joker hijacks your phone. Currently Redsn0w is not able to jailbreak it but it seems like just a verification error. Hopefully we’ll get an update for that soon, till now, update to protect yourself or run the risk (although pretty minor) that someone might hi-jack your phone.
