Maggie Wang’s Oversized Sackgirl – Heavenly Sword

p1010021

Maggie is just too damn good at this art.  She should really start selling some of these.  The whole internets is taking notice to her art work and everyone wants a piece of it. This time she has made a sackgirl of Kai from Heavenly Sword.  It comes in at a height of 13.5 inches and a weight of over 1 pound.  As with every sackboy/girl creation, her atention to detail to the inspiration video game character is perfect.

I’m defenitely going to try and get Maggie on PixelatedLIVE sometime in the near future so we can all learn more about her and her process to make a Sackboy/girl.

This . is . SACKBOY

Maggie is at it again! Here are cute sackboy renditions of King Leonidas from 300, Reno from FF7 and Teen Wolf.  Each Sackboy is meticulously crafted and even have their own removable costumed parts.

Seems like Maggie is the only person to create these great works of art, or at least the only person to post photos of them on the Internet. What will she come up with next?

If you haven’t seen her Spock and Hellboy sackboys, check them out here.

Crochet Sackboy Galore

sackboy_pop1

This is just too cute.  Maggie Wang loves to create her own crochet Sackboys in many different costumes.  The one above is regular sackboy standing next to her Prince of Persia sackboy.  Complete with sword, claw, hair and the rest of the costume.  She also has made a Spock sackboy and Hellboy sackboy. Check out all the photos after the break.

LittleBigPlanet – Heavy Metal Mullet Planet!

YouTube Preview Image

I saw this advert on TV the other day (finally Sony doing something about advertising the PS3 properly in the UK), of a community level titled Heavy Metal Mullet Planet. The name is pretty self explanatory but by watching the advert and playing the level you really get a sense of what is possible in MediaMolecule’s creation. LittleBigPlanet for those who haven’t opened their hearts to Sackboy yet, is all about stupid, rediculous and excellent fun. The kind of fun you used to have as a kid, without motive or consequence. That in essense is what makes LBP so fun to play. Watch the ad (you can even see it in YouTubeHD!) and if you’ve hesitated to get in on the LBP action this might convince you.
