Review – Transformers: The Last Knight

Michael Bay’s (apparently) final Transformers movie was a marvel of special effects and glorious, beautiful explosions. A lot of people really didn’t like it.
Guest columnist Narrator26 weighs in.

Michael Bay’s latest installment into his much-maligned Transformers series rolled out this past weekend to serve yet another overlong feast of bloated robot mayhem. And with Bay finally vacating the director’s chair after this entry, one might be forgiven for thinking that he would try to go out on a high of sorts; predictably though, that’s not the case.

A mutant surprise – in new TMNT 2 Trailer

Back in 1990 we were treated to a gem of a movie – the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It didn’t take long before the rumors started about the sequel: The Secret of the Ooze. More specifically about the possibility of a couple of mutant henchmen. What were we hoping for? Well Bebop and Rocksteady of course. And what did we get, aside from a Ninja Rap dance? Tokar and Rahzar – a mutant dog and snapping turtle.

It’s more then 20 years later and with the rebooted TMNT we are finally getting to see our favorite mutants. Oh and did I mention Casey Jones?

Movie Issues: Transformers: Age of Extinction

Michael Bay and the Transformers are back for Transformers: Age of Extinction. The forth in the series is more of a reboot in a sense that there’s a whole new cast of human characters and some returning bots from the first three films. This time around, the transformers are enemies of the government and are being hunted and killed. An inventor/mechanic and his daughter (Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz) find the injured Optimus Prime and help him back to health. But in doing so, they start a domino effect that brings the Autobots, Decepticons, and the paranoid government all crashing down around them, changing their world forever.

Movie Issues: Transformers

Leland, Elizabeth from Comic Issues, and Spooky all sat down and watched Michael Bay’s 2007 Transformers. It’s a rant-filled episode as Leland and Spooky get schooled by Elizabeth about Transformers from back in the day. Spooky gets into all the race issues of the movies, and Leland just takes it all in as a passing fan. This is a episode where we get into the heart of robots peeing on humans, Megan Fox’s “acting,” Shia, and all about Bay himself. Please download and sit in as we wade though all the crap that is Transformers part one.  Read On

Bay Talks Transformers 3

With mostly negative reviews for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, one has to ask, how can Michael Bay and Transformers 3 avoid a similar fate? In an interview with USA Today, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and director Michael Bay talk about what went wrong with T:RotF and what’s in store for the next installment, including revealing who the next villain will be. Bay describes him as:

“kind of a (expletive) character.”

Fox's Replacement for Transformers 3 Announced

We all knew that when Megan Fox was officially out of Transformers, Michael Bay was going to find another female hotter, if not as hot as, her. And who better than a Victoria’s Secret supermodel? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been chosen by Michael Bay to be the next female role in the new Transformers movie. The Victoria’s Secret model has been featured in ads for Abercrombie, Bloomingdale’s, DKNY and Ralph Lauren just to name a few. What about her acting experience? Well, she has none. But that hasn’t proved a problem in previous Transformers movies. Personally, I’m sad to see Megan Fox go. I mean, she was fun to look at and she probably won’t be in anything I ever want to see. But hey, out with the old in with the new. What do you think? Let us know with a comment!

We will miss you Megan, or maybe not.

BTW shes not single. She’s currently dating Handsome Rob, aka Bacon, aka Chev Chelios, aka Frank Martin, aka Jason Statham.
