Movie Issues SDCC Fun-Times!

The San Diego Comic-Con may be a fresh memory in the minds of over 150,000 geeks, nerds and all other manner of fans, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still share the fun.  Your Ol’ Pal Spooky here has got the Movie Issues Gallery showcasing our favorite sights from the floor including cosplay, statues, toys, and more from your favorite host Leland, our favorite podcast-pal Don Presley, and of course Spooky spotting all the great stuff.

Get some snacks and strap in, kids, this gallery’s a big one. But we’re betting it’s the only one on Pixelatedgeek with a Dr. Frankenfuter pissing off some Holy Rollers.

SDCC 2015 – Cosplay 101 Panel

From the first documented cosplayer (Foster J. Ackerman, at the first Wondercon in 1939) to today, cosplay is a world that welcomes people from all genres and with any amount of experience and skill. At Cosplay 101, Catherine M Fisher, Mike Schiffbauer, Bob Mogg, and Melissa Gene Meyer talked a little about how they got into cosplaying, resources for the beginning cosplayer, and various things you need to keep in mind when making your own costume.

SDCC 2015 – So many panels, so little time

Once again it’s a nerd’s favorite problem: how to fit in all the San Diego Comic-Con panels you want to see and still have time to get cosplay photos, buy decorations for your personal Starbase, and maybe remember to eat something.

The following panels are a teeny percentage of the ones I thought looked cool. (The full schedule is here.) Some of them have time conflicts, so I’ll either have to make a decision, or race from one to the other as fast as Security will let me go. I’ve got my running shoes, someone distract the guards…
