I’m a big fan of the Halo 3 live action shorts. You can tell so much work and attention to detail goes into each one that has came out. In the video above, you’ll see just how much work went into making the 2 minute and 30second short film as well as a small scene that didn’t make it into the final cut. I truly hope that Bungie and Microsoft continue to make shorts like these or even maybe (just maybe) a Halo feature film.

Microsoft and WETA aren’t done yet – Halo ODST Live Action Short Film [Updated]
![]()
Just 5 days ago, Microsoft and WETA gave us another Halo live action ad. Before this, we thought the live action Halo short films were done. Peter Jackson, Niel Blomkamp, and WETA already made District 9. Which was basically the Halo without anything Halo related.
Now Microsoft have put out another press release saying that there is still one more live action Halo ODST short film that is 2 minutes and 30 seconds long. But will only show in the UK. Congrats to you Brits.
UPDATE: Here it is. The full 2minute and 30second ad. Enjoy.
Dammit guys! STOP TEASING ME! Just give us a damn Halo movie already!
Full press release after the break.

Waking up is never easy – 3D Animated Short Film
Yea. This is how I am when I wake up. Minus the Airsoft Desert Eagle, stereo system, alarm clock, ninja door skills and suit. Just add 2 barking dogs as my alarm clock.

Yes, this video is super creative and original. But I can’t stop thinking about how much paper and ink they may have had to buy for this. Ah, the cost of being and artist. GJ Matt and Tom!

Unemployed Director/Cinematographer took his time with this music video
I guess, when you’re unemployed you really have a lot of time on your hands. Instead of looking at unemployment as a bad thing, director/cinematographer and SDSU graduate, Ross Ching used his time to create short films like the music video you see above.
The burning question in my career has been, “What makes me different?” These days anyone can make a short film and post it on the internet. The problem is that there is so much clutter on the internet that it is impossible to stand out from the pack. This is the main reason I started doing time lapse and stop motion; because it enables me to tell stories differently. It catches people’s eyes and hopefully it will lead to a creative job.

The PenIs Mighter
An awesome stop-motion film. It has everything you could want from a trailer. Drama, action, suspense and a romantic love scene.
