Review – Transformers: Till All Are One #10

In the latest issue Starscream shows his true colors like we knew he always would but it’s okay because he’s also flirting with someone. Does that make me shallow? Don’t care, bring on the innuendo!

Ahem. See below for preview pages and a review of Transformers: Till All Are One #10.

Binary System Podcast – Our Favorite DeviantArtists

Binary System is on the road this week, and we’ll return with an episode next Thursday. In the meantime we did what we love to do: browse through our favorite artists over on DeviantArt. Here’s a handful of the ones we were lingering over this week (all images below are Safe For Work, though a few of the artists have some deliciously NSFW images in their galleries, just in case your boss is looking over your shoulder.)

Review & Preview – Transformers: Lost Light #5

The Functionist Council got the drop on Rodimus’ crew, someone’s Conjunx Endura may be beating up their partner during blackouts, and it’s possible someone might have hallucinated the last four issues. So, a typical Wednesday in the Lost Light universe then? See below for preview pages and a review of Transformers: Lost Light #5.

Review – Transformers: Till All Are One #9

Starscream struggles to maintain control of Cybertron in the wake of the battle with the undead Titans and Windblade’s…I mean her….look I don’t want to talk about it and it’s not entirely clear yet so I’m holding out hope, okay? Okay?

Anyway, things are getting political, but not in a paperwork and bureaucrats way but more in a propaganda and blackmail and “yes I have you over a barrel it’s for your own good and you’ll do what I say and you’ll like it” way. Also Elita One is not to be trifled with. Ever.

Review – Transformers: Lost Light #4

Rodimus’ crew is marooned in a parallel universe where the bad guys are still in control and about to destroy anybody who isn’t “useful.” In the regular universe the “lucky” folks are just getting their feelings eviscerated, if they’re not getting literally eviscerated. So, a typical Wednesday then?

Binary System Podcast #73 – WTNV #103 “Ash Beach”

Anyone looking to take an early spring vacation? Why not take a trip to Night Vale’s newest attraction: Ash Beach. The town’s landlocked, so there’s no water, and the sand’s been replaced with ash from thousands of municipally burned books, so you’ll need a respirator. Other than that, it’s blisteringly hot, and hazy figures are infecting beachgoers with memories of things that never happened. It’s not a typical vacation, but you could do worse (although not much.)

When they’re not recapping the episode or watching Elizabeth’s cat lose her frikkin’ mind, the twins talk about the upcoming Convention season that kicks off with Oak City Comic Con in Raleigh. And for all you Transformers fans, Kathryn accepts the challenge to explain the difference between “Forged” and “Constructed Cold” in five minutes or less.

Review & Preview – Transformers Annual 2017

This year’s Transformers Annual features two stories that are very different in style, but they’re tied together by the storytellers (Optimus and Pyra Magna, trying to work out their differences) and the eavesdroppers (Starscream and Bumblebee, though Bumblebee’s a figment of Starscream’s imagination of course, right? …..right…?)

See below for preview pages and a review of Transformers Annual 2017.
