Limited-edition TRON R3CONF1GUR3D Controller Available for the XBox 360

Performance Designed Products will be making 750 new limited-edition TRON controllers for the XBox 360, available exclusively through its website for $49.99 from August 9th, 2011 onwards.

Available only for a limited time, these new wired controllers feature soft rubber grips, vibration support, and a simple, elegant design. The last time PDP released a TRON-themed controller, they sold out in two hours – and traffic took the PDP website down, requiring it be redesigned and beefed-up.

Tron Legacy remix album sneak previews available

Tron Legacy remix album sneak previews available

Fans of Daft Punk anticipating the upcoming Tron Legacy Reconfigured remix album can now find remix samples of several tracks from the album on the official site.

The interface is clever, but a little finicky. Once the site’s loaded and opened, type “theglitchmob”, “m83”, “bbd”, or “kitheory” – not in any text box, just with the site up and open. Then listen to the preview. Wait for one sample to end before you try entering another though; otherwise, the songs might overlap.

The official site is located at: http://tronsoundtrack.com/

Tron Legacy Reconfigured is available for pre-order. Physical copies will ship to deliver on April 5th, while Digital EP will be delivered on April 18th.

Star Wars Meets TRON: Legacy [Trailer Mashup]

Star Wars Meets TRON: Legacy [Trailer Mashup]

Trailer mashup’s are quickly becoming a new art style.  The original Star Wars trilogy is often considered such a classic, it’s hard to imagine changing anything about it.  Except for the part about how the Ewoks were responsible for the fall of the Empire.  But that’s beyond the point.  However, the idea of a TRON: Legacy/Star Wars mashup makes for an interesting crossover, one that I definitely would not mind seeing if it ever came to light.  But don’t just take my word for it.  Check it out.

The Friday Fix January 7

If a Friday goes by, and there’s no Fix, did anyone care?  If you did, I’m sorry I forgot the Fix.  I was traveling, and, as the scholars of my father’s homeland would say, just plum forgot about the dern thing.  But now we press onward into a new and exciting year that is full of Fridays.  If you haven’t seen The Friday Fix before, it is easier to follow then the plot to a Kate Hudson movie.  First I recommend a band for you aural pleasure.  Then I gather up all the most newstastic news I can rangle from around the site.  The band I am recommending this week is a band featuring former members of Sullivan: The AfterLife Kids.  Be sure to check out their music here.

Warhammer gets some preorder deals.

No confirmation yet if you can get an actual giant hammer with the game.

We want to share our junk with all of you.

Seriously though.  We would love to give you stuff.

J.J. tells you how to spend your money in the new year.

After seeing the list, I decided to sell my kidney on Craigslist.  Worth it.

We really want to give you stuff.  And here’s your chance to win it.

Plus, who doesn’t love trivia other than baby-punching Nazis?

A look behind the scenes of TRON.

One hilarious excerpt is when Jeff Bridges starts talking like Rooster Cogburn.

New episode of the Tripod.

This one is really more of a four-pod.  But whatevs.

That is all for The Fix this week.  Be sure to check back next Friday for more of the Friday Fix!

Street Fighter Characters Have Entered the Grid [TRON Art Mashup]

How do you make any franchise look a bit cooler? Just strips of neon lights.  That’s what Adidas did with its new line of TRON apparel and Marvel with its famous super heroes. Now, Capcom fans are getting into the fun by putting Street Fighter 4 characters into the grid.  Go past the break for more sick looking art work.

Come to think of it, I wouldn’t mind seeing a game like TRON/Disney/Pixar/The Grid VS Capcom.

Adidas adds Tron gear

No word on whether they’re selling Lightcycles or Identity Disks yet, but Adidas is now offering a selection of Tron-inspired clothing for those of us with a desperate longing for The Future! as envisioned by the ’80s.

The lineup includes hoodies, shoes, and T-Shirts. Peculiarly enough, it only includes Men’s and Kids sizes… you think they’re trying to say something?

You can see the full selection here. Some examples past the break.
