CES 2010: CLO Systems – A Lot More Impressive in Person

I had the opportunity to talk with Laura and Ken of CLO Systems as the previewed their X-Arm T and S product lines. Now, at first glance I must admit I didn’t really have the excitement I held for other exhibitors on the show floor while going to meet with CLO Systems. I must say that I came away much more impressed and am glad I took the time to visit!

CLO Systems provides tilt, swivel and fully automatic mounts for flat screen displays. The entry model has a MSRP of $49.00 and provides multi-directional manual tilt control. Other tilt models allow you to lock the bracket into multiple configurations, from flush to any number of positions. Now, this only covers vertical tilt so far, they also have horizontal models that can really bring your picture out into the room. The mounts can provide 2-3 feet of extension and nearly 360 degree positioning (sans the depth of the TV itself). All of their mounts use a patented weighting and balance system and make it so that you do not have to adjust tension screws or bang up your knuckles.

CLO Systems have ensured that their products provide a wide range of abilities and prices throughout their line. Their intro automated model has a MSRP of $99.00 and tilts from a flush, 1 inch reveal to a 15 degree tilt for glare reduction. There is an under-unit mounted IR receptor to allow the use of their controller, or your own programmable universal remote. The higher end models provide display presets that will automatically engage when the TV is turned on. This is done via a plug into the TV’s video out ports.

The big daddy X-Arm bracket is the flagship product and retails for $599.00, but is well worth the price. This model extends a good foot or more from the wall and provides a full range of motions to point the display to any direction in the room. Its mechanism has a pressure sensitive retract so that kids, pets or careless party-goers do not get smashed.

Fairytale Fights viral video

YouTube Preview Image

Here’s the viral-ish video for Fairytale Fights.  It features 3 pornstars and not much gameplay footage.  I’m not sure why Playlogic or its marketing team decided to hire pornstars.  It didn’t make the video any sexier or more viral.  It’s just three people acting out a scene. Ok, well one throws a bra, big whoop.

Fairytale Fights comes out next week, October 27th.  Here is our preview from PAX 2009 if the video above made you interested.

Toy Story 3 Trailer is full of WIN

Its finally here! The Toy Story 3 trailer is finally on the internets.  After watching this, there is not a doubt in my mind that this will be another box office hit. Pixar will always be the best computer animated story tellers of our time. Always making us go thorugh every type of emotion. Especially with Up. Enjoy the trailer. Oh and btw, LOL at Spanish Buzz. Pixar FTW!

Kate Beckinsale is 2k sexier than Megan Fox

Back in May, Esquire was the first magazine company to use a high resolution video camera for their magazine’s cover photo shoot.  What they did was record Megan Fox wiggling around in her underwear and choose one single frame to be the cover shot.  For this month’s cover, they hired an even sexier (and better actress) than Megan Fox.  How much sexier? Well, lets just say that a 3k resolution Red Camera wasn’t enough to contain Kate’s sexiness. Esquire had to buy a 5K resolution Red Camera. If your eyes can handle that much sexiness, press play on the video above, or go past the break for the cover photo.

Behind the Scenes of the Halo 3: ODST Live Action Short

I’m a big fan of the Halo 3 live action shorts.  You can tell so much work and attention to detail goes into each one that has came out.  In the video above, you’ll see just how much work went into making the 2 minute and 30second short film as well as a small scene that didn’t make it into the final cut.  I truly hope that Bungie and Microsoft continue to make shorts like these or even maybe (just maybe) a Halo feature film.

Eliminate – Teaser Trailer

ngmoco:), creators of highly acclaimed iPhone games like Rolando and StarDefense, is coming out with a new game called Eliminate.  This is ngmoco’s answer to the iPhone FPS online mutiplayer genre.  Eliminate seems to look kind of like QuakeLive, but with a stats system that you can upgrade.  The more people you “eliminate” the more credits you get.  The more credits you get, the better you can make your stats, armor or weapon.

Now, I have been playing iMech on my iPhone, and the online multiplayer mode is a bit choppy.  I hope, with ngmoco’s resources, that Eliminate’s arena will be faster.

For more information about Eliminate, check out http://eliminate.ngmoco.com

For a peek at the upgrading system, go past the break for another video from ngcomo:)

With this Holiday Season approaching quickly we have a bunch of Grade A titles coming out in the next month or so. Dragon Age Origins is scheduled for a Nov 3rd launch at least for the PC and 360 while the PS3 waits till the 17th. Developed by Bioware who is responsible for some of my top fav games including Mass Effect. I’ve had some hands on time with the game back at E3 and was quite impressed. Check out the latest video about the character Leliana.

Team Lego Fortress 2

YouTube Preview Image

I love me some LEGO videos. It’s like going back to the roots of film which is basically a series of still photos.  I especially love LEGO videos if it’s a video about one of my favorite games, Team Fortress 2. Now, if someone can make a mod in the game to have all the avatars look like LEGO Minifigs.  Yea.  That would be awesome.
