…it’s all about family…well ok it’s supposed to be about cool cars…but also huge explosions…and over the top action sequences. But yeah, there’s family too…
Films featuring the supernatural have been in a slump for a while now. If it’s not about sad-sack vampires or the living dead taking over the Earth than audiences don’t seem to be asking for it. Enter The Last Witch Hunter and a little up and coming actor named Vin Diesel, he’s done some movies about cars or something. No stranger to action though and a fantasy geek at heart, Diesel serves as more than the star of this mystical movie, but also as Executive Producer. Word is that the main character of Kaulder is largely based on an old D&D character of Diesel’s.
Witches, secrets hidden in plain site, and The Deez doing what he does best! What’s not to love!?
So because of a off handed conversation about XXX and how Leland had never seen it, Spooky had to fix that. So this week they guys watched the 2002 “spy-action” flick XXX. Spooky enjoyed it, Leland did not. So please take a listen as we discuss Vin Diesel and what make him so popular. Read On
At this point, how does one review a Fast and Furious movie? I mean, you already know what you’re going to get. There’s pretty much nothing left to say about these films, now entering its seventh in the franchise. If you’re a fan of the series, you have already bought your ticket, and have already decided it’s the best one of the seven. If you’re not a fan of the series, you’re not gonna start by watching this one. If you are the former, then you’re in for one hell of a high-octane ride of craziness. Still delightful and exhilarating using the same old set pieces that you’ve come to expect.
Marvel and their cinematic universe opened the summer with Captain America: The Winter Solider, so it’s only fitting they also close down the summer movie season with their new film, Guardians of the Galaxy, directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, and featuring the voice talents of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. This time, Marvel shows us an all new, exciting, and absolutely amazing world above and beyond the stars with a fantastic new team of heroes in one great action-packed movie.
Fast & Furious 6 is the new installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, once again being directed by Justin Lin, who is no stranger to the films as he has directed the last three: Tokyo Drift (2006), Fast & Furious (2009), and Fast Five (2011). In its sixth installment, the film finds our crew Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) have retired following the successful heist in Fast Five. But Agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) offers to clear the groups criminal records in exchange for helping him take down a highly skilled mercenary organization lead by Owen Shaw (Luke Evens), who is being helped by Dom’s presumed-dead lover Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez).
