Dates for BlizzCon ticket sales announced

Blizzard announced today when BlizzCon tickets will be going on sale. Regular tickets will be sold on two different days. The first day will be May 21 and the second May 25. The ticket prices have increased to $175 this year. If you are looking to get more out of BlizzCon, on May 28 tickets will be available for a benefits dinner. Tickets are priced at $500 for the opportunity to dine with and meet members from Blizzard. Sale from the dinner are going to help Children’s Hospital of Orange County. What and Who will take down World of Warcraft?

In the last six years, many have tried to take down the kingdom Blizzard has built known as World of Warcraft. Yet all the games that went up against the glorious monster have failed, because they have all lacked in something. World of Warcraft succeeded for a few main reasons, and if anyone wants to take down this empire of eleven million-strong, they must lack nothing.

Just for your edification…

Let’s be honest: everyone here at pixelatedgeek has either a) played World of Warcraft incessantly; or b) thought about playing WoW incessantly.  It is the most expansive and creatively engaging (with its massive history and stories) MMORPG that has ever existed.  Recently, during one of my hourly constitutionals through the internet, I stumbled upon (seriously, I literally used Stumple Upon) some fascinating statistics.  I think my favorite is that the annual revenue generated by WoW players for Blizzard is greater than the GDP of Samoa.  Furthermore, my disused Foresaken Death Knight of the Horde is upset that humans are the favored race across the board.  Check out the other details after the break.
