Gaming characters come in all shapes and sizes and all sorts of temperaments. Some characters are as cool as they come. But on the other end of the spectrum, we find some characters who just don’t know when to back off. So here are my Top 5 Characters Who Need to Calm Down.
5) Bowser
How many times can you really try to take over one kingdom before you need to take a moment and say to yourself, “Hey, maybe I should just relax for a little bit.” Bowser has been hell-bent on one kingdom domination for twenty-five years now. Do you think he ever stops to smell the roses? Does he ever think maybe life is too short to be constantly stealing princesses? He definitely needs to calm down.
4) Mr. Resetti
Mr. Resetti just doesn’t know when to keep it down. In fact, he tends to ratchet it up to another level when he knows you don’t want to listen to him. He was annoying enough in Animal Farm. But whenever someone allows him to pop up in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, it is the definition of a lose-lose situation. He hogs the screen, blabbering on endlessly about how you are not paying attention to him. He is a ludicrous character who never ceases to irritate.
3) Dr. Robotnik (or Eggman)
It takes a special kind of video game villain to pick on animals. Dr. Robotnik keeps trying to slow Sonic down no matter how many times he fails. Although I can kind of support him in his endeavours when it comes to all the countless other “friends” of Sonic the series has produced. Also he could turn Sonic the “Were-hog” into a lamp. I am fine with that. But he definitely deserves a spot on this list. Plus he has ridiculous legs. Trust me, I have seen a lot of legs in my day, and his are preposterous.
2) Alex Mason
Call of Duty: Black Ops threw you head-first into an unmade Rambo film. Alex Mason solves problems the 80s action star-way: shoot first and ask questions never. He also yells a whole lot. Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy the fact that he clearly is not treating war in any sort of a light-hearted manner. Yet, at the same time I felt he didn’t have any feelings other than anger. At least Reznov has that Russian quality of sounding like he is having a blast almost getting shot all the time. Mason just yells.
1) Kratos
You all knew this one was coming. Saying that Kratos is angry is like saying Lady Gaga likes to be scantily clad. Kratos sets the bar for all those who cannot just calm down. Try and imagine Kratos enjoying a nice picnic on a sunny day. You just imagined him trying to cut some bread with the Blades of Chaos and then getting upset and mowing down every man, woman, and child in the park. It’s what he does. If you really think about it, you can’t have a friendly God of War.
