Auxiliary Power is Dropping on GLaDOS@Home – Is This It!? [UPDATE]

Just about twenty minutes ago, some new status messages from GLaDOS appeared on the GLaDOS@Home page.  Auxiliary power is also dropping at a rapid rate.  What could this mean?

From the GLaDOS@Home page (times are PST):

10:50 – Engaging starch-based power cells
11:00 – Reboot safety test protocol initiated…
11:00 – Relaxation chamber locks released…
11:00 – Involuntary hazard mitigation associates have assumed testing positions…
11:00 – Pre-release lethality assessment initiated…

“Active Test Subjects” have been bumped up to nine.  What could this mean?  What will happen with auxiliary power reaches zero?

The computations have only been able to reach about 75% for the early release.

Perhaps we will find out in the next hour or so if Portal 2 will be available for purchase.  If so, this might be the happiest Monday of my life!

UPDATE:

It seems that the auxiliary power built up over the past couple of days is working to “overclock” the games’ power right now.  What that means is that the games that haven’t been finished yet will complete at a much faster pace.  So… the Portal 2 computer release is going to come faster.  Keep playing the remaining Potato Sack games!

In addition, the Portal 2 Facebook page has also uploaded a picture of a staff member playing Portal 2 with the caption “The first of nine begins play”.
