In probably the most underrated major release of this year, the developers of Minecraft have officially set a date for when the full-version of the game will hit the web.
For those of you a little confused, the game has only been in beta testing as its popularity has grown. As creator “Notch” noted in his blog this morning, the official release date is “really more of a milestone when we finally get rid of the Beta label, and some kind of goal for us to work towards.” “The ‘full version’ won’t be very different at all from what the game was like a week ago, and we’ll keep adding features after the release as well,” he states.
The developers are also aware that the date does fall on the release of the much-anticipated Elder Scrolls V: Skryim, to which Notch comments, “We picked November 11, with the unofficial tagline ‘us too’.”
