For the past five years, the beginning of June has marked a very special occasion for my friends and me here in Ohio. ColossalCon is (arguably) Ohio’s largest anime convention. Since 2008, the con has been held at the luxurious Kalahari Waterpark & Resort. While I know that this doesn’t even compare to the larger conventions held on the east or west coasts, this little slice of geekdom is all we have in the Midwest. I feel that those who live in San Diego, L.A., New York, and Boston need to see how we “country folk” do a convention. Check out the gallery after the jump.
