Hello lovely readers! How is your summer going? Had any chances to go outside and get sunburned until you question why anyone would ever leave the nice safe air-conditioned indoors?
Well, E3 was last week, and with the smoke cleared we are left to sift through the aftermath for the best news. If you think that plan sounds nice without the whole “sifting” thing, have no fear: that’s what I’m here for. For The Fix I go through all the latest news on the site and select a smattering of my favorites for you to peruse in one nice neat article. I also recommend a band for your aural pleasure because I’m just a veritable one-stop shop for entertainment.
The band for this week is going to be My Morning Jacket. Not content to settle on just one sound My Morning Jacket zooms around the musical landscape without ever losing control. Be sure to check out their latest album here.

Now on to the news!
- Andrew has seen the latest Star Trek game, and his life has changed for the better. Seriously though, this game looks incredibly fun and, although it is in the extremely early stages of development, it already looks like a winner. I’m not going to make a “set your phasers to fun” joke here. (Oops.)
- Nelson spent some time with Onlive and got a closer look at the future of cloud gaming. Onlive brings gaming to you in almost any way imaginable. Check out the video to see it used with the iPad 2.
- E3 had a Reddit meetup. Nelson knew just what was needed to get the party started, and that key ingredient was bacon. Check the link to see all the fun.
- Here’s some Battlefield 3 footage to knock those socks right off your feet. Provided you are wearing socks. Otherwise your feet are safe. Unless you are putting them in danger. Honestly, that makes it more your fault than mine.
- And last but not least, a video that notices a “theme” from E3. Enjoy.
That’s all for this week. Be sure to check back next week for more of The Friday Fix!
