During Japan’s Fashion Week, designer Kunihiko Morinaga debuted his 8-Bit re-imagining of women’s clothing from his line “anrealage.” His fashion line for the fall and winter 2011/2012 season encompasses quite the range of women’s clothing: everything from professional attire and dresses to sweatshirts and athletic-wear. These contain the same pixelated feel to them, and, from far away, appear normal. A close-up view makes them appear distorted and, well, pixelated. The video footage from the show is fascinating; check it out below!

Pretty sweet right? I’m thinking that we here at Pixelated Geek need to implement a dress code for all our future outings as a group: pixelated t-shirts and jeans with pixelated sneakers for informal occasions. While, for formal occasions, the guys will wear pixelated three-piece suits with ties. The women will wear pixelated dresses with very stylish pixelated pumps. I’m thinking, however, that we could do without the masks; they only come out for the masquerade balls (which we attend bi-quarterly, loyal readers).
Maybe we can have Mr. Morinaga design our next t-shirt! Also, if you can guess how many times I said pixelated in this post without re-reading it I’ll totally like give you a hug or something. I’ll even give you a hint! It’s more than five and less than seventy times!
