Bethesda has released a new trailer for the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas DLC “Lonesome Road,” the fourth add-on pack for New Vegas and apparent conclusion to the saga of the Courier and his hinted rival, Ulysses.
The trailer features a narration by Ulysses that provides plenty of hints at the storyline. Ulysses urges the Courier to come to “the Divide” to settle things between them. He promises to explain why he didn’t take the job that touched off New Vegas, and hints that the Courier is somehow responsible for, or familiar with, the Divide. He also hints at the Courier’s past, including a possible original loyalty to the New California Republic, the idealistic but imperialistic nation-state making inroads into the Mojave Wasteland.
It’s hard to say for certain what “Lonesome Road” will be like, but flashes of uniformed, red-skinned men, rockets, and blasted skyscrapers suggest an especially apocalyptic landscape.
“Lonesome Road” releases over Xbox Live (800 points) and Playstation Network, and Steam ($9.99) on September 20th. You can find out more about Fallout: New Vegas and its DLC at the official site.
