With only about a month to go until the release of the much anticipated Sonic Generations, Sega continues to build the hype with the release of a new trailer. The trailer depicts three stages from Sonic’s Dreamcast era (technically two, since Seaside Hill is from the post-Dreamcast Sonic Heroes), and it’s hard not to get one’s hopes up.
This finally may be the next-gen Sonic game the fans have been awaiting since Sonic Adventure 2.
With both Classic and Modern gameplay styles to choose from, as well as the sudden appearance of an unexpected character, Sonic Generations is shaping up to be a great game. However, don’t take our word for it. Take a look for yourselves.
Sonic Generations will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS. The game will be released on November 1, 2011 in the US, with European, Australian, and Japanese releases to follow.
