One Coloradan Takes Modern Warfare 3 a Little Too Seriously

If any of you have lived in Colorado, you should know that there is an interesting mix of military and hippie culture going on in this state.  One only needs to visit Boulder and Colorado Springs in the same day to get a taste of the difference.  It doesn’t surprise me that Coloradans were excited for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, since that we appear to be this mix of shoot-em-up and chill-on-the-couch type of people.

But for the midnight release of MW3, it appears that one Coloradan forgot the “chill” part.

A 31-year-old man by the name of Lomorin Sar walked into a Best Buy in Aurora (a suburb of Denver) for the midnight release of MW3 and was surprised to find out that the game, which he had pre-ordered two days before its release, was not in stock.  Well, he wasn’t just surprised — he was infuriated.

So much so that he threatened to blow up the Best Buy and shoot the employees in the parking lot.

Aurora police took him into custody outside of the store.  No one was injured.

Moral of the story?  Chill out man, it’s just a video game.
