Blizzard Entertainment was also honored this year by receiving the second ever “Gamer God” award for Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo. The last “Gamer God” award was given in 2008 to Will Wright, creator of The Sims and Spore.
Those who tuned in also saw some upcoming teasers for what gaming in 2012 has in store. Featured 2012 games included BioShock: Infinite, Alan Wake American Nightmare, Metal Gear Rising: Revengence, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots.
Most noticeably absent this year from the awards show? Battlefield 3, which didn’t win a single award. What do our fellow PG! readers think? Do you agree with the awards? Which games do you notice that are missing from the list that you’d love to see up there?
