On September 4th, DICE and EA announced a new DLC coming to their popular war first-person shooter, Battlefield 3. Get ready gamers, because war and FPS games are certainly going the route of, “how big can I make this multiplayer map?”
The DLC is entitled Armored Kill and features four new multiplayer maps, one of which is “the largest in Battlefield history”. The focus for this expansion will be on “vehicle warfare” and cooperative play for navigating the large battlefields. If you love playing Battlefield with jets, helicopters and tanks, this expansion is for you.
Additional updates with the expansion include a new game mode entitled “tank superiority” and six new vehicles with 20 “unlocks” in the game. Each of the new maps can be played with all six game modes.

The release of the expansion depends on the console and the status of the player. PS3 Battlefield Premium users can access this expansion today. Xbox and PC Premium members will have it available on September 11th. Non-premium members for PS3 on September 18th and Xbox and PC non-premium users on September 25th.
All users can expect a patch update today in preparation for Armored Kill, this patch helps to provide some game play balance with weapons and also some general bug fixes.
