We watched Sixteen Candles, a simple story about Sam (Molly Ringwald), whose entire family forgets her 16th birthday because her older sister is getting married the next day. Next thing we know, we’re following Sam for the next 24 hours, bringing us a debaucherous party with a drunk Asian foreign exchange student, giving her panties to the king of the nerds, and falling for the crush of her dreams.
