Nerdcore legend, animation super star, and all-around-nice-guy MC Chris has been doing everything he can to make his dream of The MC Chris Show a reality. The animated show starring MC Chris himself has been bounced about and beaten down for years now. Some may remember a previous Kickstarter to make a sizzle reel for the show a while back. That short, but awesome piece of animation nearly got the show picked up by Adult Swim, (where Chris has both portrayed several beloved characters and written for some of their very first original shows).
Sadly, Adult Swim kicked Chris and his show out of the pool, leaving the poor nerd icon out in the cold. Now he’s going back to the people who have supported him before in a new Kickstarter to fund finishing the animated short that the first crowd sourced project started.
As previously mentioned, The MC Chris Show stars MC Chris as (surprisingly!) MC Chris, a rapper with a failing career in a world dominated by aliens, robots, zombies, and plummeting music sales. In this animated short Chris’ manager Tim Chandler offers him a new job opportunity as a dimension jumping and time skipping treasure hunter.
So where does Chris want to go? How about Wild West Mars?
