Thanks to The Latino Review, the Internet is running rampant with rumors that Emperor Palpatine is retuning for the new Star Wars movies, due to start 2015. And if it is true that pure evil is coming back to fight our heroes, it’s said that he will not be a clone, but rather perhaps a spirit ghost, or whatever else they come up with as long as he’s pure Palpatine.
As I said, it’s a rumor at this time, but people cannot contain themselves. How is he back? The world wants to know!
Did he have a new apprentice before he was killed? Or a son? Or are the filmmakers going to combine some of the Dark Horse comic series Star Wars: Dark Empire storyline with some new themes, which in the book was all about Palpatine coming back.
Coming off of last weekend at D23, the huge Disney Expo, where there was little to no information about Star Wars, having this rumor is at least something. Is it a highly planned idea for publicity? No one knows for sure at this time, but it looks like things just got more interesting in the Star Wars camp.
