Once there was a time when man was forced to subject himself to barbaric forms of drinking “games.” Built on cruel and flimsy rules, these games revolved around punishment and uninspired concepts. These games dared to call themselves names like “King’s Cup” when they’re more like stable boys. These were the dark times. That is, until a noble man by the name of Jasn Painter created, Drunk Quest.
The game is built on two simple but challenging aspects. First, there are the monsters that must be defeated one chug at a time in order to level up. The first person to get to level six wins the game. The second part is defeating the tougher opponents, your friends. As you traverse the “Spirits Cave” filled with all kinds of monsters, it’s your friends that will make you regret the trip. Anyone can play Treasure Cards to make you drink more, drink less, or steal your sweet loot!
You may have watched the Podcast Crew play this amazing game for our Three Year Anniversary back in February. At this year’s KingdomCon 2014 I got to meet with game creator Jasn Painter to ask where Drunk Quest came from, get information about the newest adventure on the high seas with the latest expansion, 90 Proof Seas, and learn a little of perhaps what’s to come from the future.
One part card game, one part dungeon crawl, mix in your geeky friends, and you’ve got a cocktail for a great night. This is all thanks to the unique experience that Drunk Quest brings to the party as friends fight monsters and each other with bravery and their liver! Check out DrunkQuest.com for more and stay up to date on all the antics on their social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. And if you’re not in the Villainous Lair area, you can pick up your own copy on Amazon.
