[WonderCon 2014] Meet Cliff Chiang!

Cliff Chiang has been one of the all-star artists of the New 52.  His work along side Brian Azzarello and Tony Akins on Wonder Woman has been both an amazing work of art as well as glorious work of creativity.  While at this year’s WonderCon 2014 I got to meet the incredibly talented Cliff Chang to talk about the one of the greatest super-heroines of all time and where some of the inspired characters designs have come from when designing the Greek Gods of the DCU.

As well as a fan favorite artist, Cliff Chiang also happens to be a Harvard Graduate with a degree in both Literature and Visual arts.  Maybe this combination of story and art is the source of his ability to be such an impressive visual story teller.  His use of broad and dark lines make every panel, page, or cover dynamic and bold with an edgy pop-art style.  Currently Cliff Chiang is working with returning collaborator Brian Azzarello on Wonder Woman, but unfortunately that will be coming to an end soon.  DC won’t let one of their stars get bored though, surely Cliff will be making another book even better soon.

Until then be sure to check out his older works on books like Green Arrow / Black Canary (#1-4, 6), Neil Young’s Greendale, Detective Comics (#763-772) with Judd Winick, and Dr. Thirteen with Brian Azzarello.  You can also feast on this eye candy right here.
