Photo Gallery – DesignerCon 2018

It’s that time of year again: DesignerCon is one of our favorite fall conventions, a huge collection of original, dark, weird, beautiful, random artwork by talented artists from all over the world. Check out the photo gallery below, an equally random selection out of the hundreds of amazing pieces we saw this weekend.

(We’ve tried to credit the artist in each photo, but if you spot an artist we missed or mis-labeled please shout out in the comments!)

This is our fifth year attending the amazing (and incredibly hard to describe) DesignerCon, but for the first time we didn’t head to Pasadena: the convention has gotten too big for that lovely city, so this year it moved to the giant Anaheim Convention Center.

We’ll miss the Pasadena vibe (and we heard the same comment from a lot of attendees and artists, as well as a few artists who now have a longer commute to get to Anaheim) and the ticket price has gone up (it was $20 plus fees up until a week before the convention, and then jumped to $30) but we sure loved being able to walk around without bumping into people. We also didn’t miss last year’s hour-long line when the fire marshals said the Pasadena Convention Center had hit capacity. If the convention stays in Anaheim, it’s now got room to grow.
