Review – Green Book

Next in our attempt to keep up with possibly Oscar-nominated movies, here’s a dual review of Green Book from CoupleOfReelCritics.

He Said— Green Book is plain and simple an amazing movie of discovery and overcoming what holds us all back: ignorance.

What I love about this movie is that both characters have their amazing strengths but extreme weaknesses as well, and they both don’t realize how much they need each other to realize their full potential as human beings.

The acting was Oscar-caliber and the topic is informative and entertaining. I see this one taking home many awards, just well done. I give this one 5 Reels out of 5 Reels and label it the “Reel Deal”!

She Said — This movie is truly special. The two lead characters were perfect for their roles and I just thoroughly enjoyed it.

It made you cry, laugh, and everything in between. It covers racism, friendship and different cultures in this beautiful and profound way. The fact that it is based on a true story is even better.

Mahershala Ali played his character beautifully and Viggo Mortensen was a stand-out in this role. This film should definitely be an Oscar contender. I give this film a rare 5 Reels out of 5 and call it the “Reel Deal.”
