What’s the Binary System topic for the week? Is it a cartoon from the 80s? No. Is it a vampire TV show from two years ago? No. That’s right, we’re talking about a movie that’s STILL IN THE THEATER.
Listen in as we geek all the heck out about Captain Marvel: the kickass fight scenes, the gorgeous special effects, and Goose the cat! We also discuss whether or not digital editing can go too far, Stan Lee’s cameo, and how sometimes we don’t see a plot point coming even when it was telegraphed and WE’RE OKAY WITH THAT because it means we enjoyed being surprised, so there.

This week’s outro music is a clip from the Captain Marvel theme by Pinar Toprak.
Correction: well, clarification, we really need to mention that while Kelly Sue DeConnick was responsible for much of the Captain Marvel character as she exists now, her look (specifically the flight suit design) in the comics was Jamie McKelvie’s creation (and he was apparently very happy with the transition of the design to the movie.)
