Review – Fantasy Island

This week guest writer Greyson Ridley has some thoughts on Fantasy Island.

I’m not gonna lie, I don’t have the energy to even shred this garbage right now. Blumhouse should be ashamed at this product. First of all, this is not a horror film. This is an extremely lazy, half-assed exposition-filled expedition that does absolutely nothing for anyone.

The acting across the board is horrid, Lucy Hale shouldn’t be leading this type of film, and the whole plot is so convoluted. The tone of the entire film is inconsistent and I have no idea what I even watched. This has some of the worst, mid-2000’s type comedy I’ve ever witnessed.

This film is obnoxious and thinks that it’s reinventing the wheel. No. It is not. It’s taking the wheel, stabbing it 46 times, and lighting it on fire. Just an absolute dumpster fire.

It angers me that these films are getting funding and support, while there are MANY other ideas and filmmakers that deserve a shot to be heard. This is just embarrassing. Good god.
