It’s an extra-long episode this week, although not because of Lore Olympus. The recap for episodes 259 and 260 went pretty quickly, with a little more of Demeter’s backstory revealed and one hell of a lot of personal growth. Seriously, we figured Rachel included the bit with Demeter snapping at Hera because otherwise we wouldn’t even recognize her anymore.
The biggest chunk of this week’s episode is taken up by our recap of the 2022 movie, The Menu, the tasty (see what I did there) horror/satire that skewers (har) everything that’s wrong with restaurant culture and serves up (okay I’ll stop) a fantastic performance by Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes. GIGANTIC spoiler warnings on this, since we jump right to how much we loved the ending first.
