This past Saturday Wade and I got to check out Black Com!x Day at the World Beat Center in Balboa Park. As a celebration of Black creators in comics, it featured artists from publishers worldwide, as well as cosplay, food, art, panels, music, and more. I highly recommend you stop by next time they hold the event, or any time you’re in the area, it’s a fantastic and very welcoming space. (And if you stop by the cafe, make sure to get one of the jerk-chicken-flavored tofu pastries, trust me, you’ll thank me.)
