It’s the spooking season, and I would know. But it just wouldn’t be official without the Queen of Halloween herself, ELVIRA! Thanks to Hulu, the Hostess with the Mostess is back to do what she does best, showing her fawning audience the goods! You know… showing off the best of the B-Movies!
Elvira has been sorely missed from the airwaves since her quest to find a successor in The Search of the Next Elvira in 2008, only making occasional TV and Film appearances. Although that hasn’t kept her away from the stage as she’s recently returned to her live show at Knott’s Scary Farm, this year performing her Elvira’s Big Top dance and comedy show. She’s also been co-hosting the Comikaze Expo with comic book legend Stan Lee since 2012, giving nerds the gothic fetish fix that they love so much.
Gather together you groovy ghoulies, the Queen is back!
Playing exclusively on Hulu beginning October 19th, and continuing on for the appropriate next thirteen nights, Elvira will be back to showcasing the low budget classics of horror in 13 Nights of Elvira à la her old Midnight Macabre show that ran from ’81-86′. Just a handful of the great stuff she’ll be showing off includes Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death, Evil Bong, and Shrunken Heads, all leading up to the grand finale of Night of the Living Dead on Halloween Night!
After over thirty years since her debut, Elvira has remained a Halloween icon and a staple in the horror world, here’s hoping she remains so long into the afterlife.
