Review: Star Wars the Old Republic

A long time ago, in what feels like a galaxy far far away, rumors of a new Star Wars MMO began to circulate. The star systems of Star Wars Galaxies had all but been abandoned and the thought of another MMO would have been tedious and redundant. Soon to follow was the confirmation of the

Review: Turtle Beach X12 with DSS Encoder

Seems gaming headsets are becoming a popular item these days. A once-vacant aisle at Best Buy is now filled with a plethora of different types, ranging from casual all the way up to pro, including the Turtle Beach X12. While my initial impressions of this headset were good at my local Best Buy, I wanted

Last December, we here at Pixelated Geek took a first look at the first episode of Telltale Games’ five-part time-traveling point-and-click adventure series, Back to the Future: The Game. A welcome entry to an already stellar film trilogy, Back to the Future: The Game’s premiere episode was not only entertaining, but also helped pave the way for an

[Review] Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Edition

Since the late ’90s, Razer has been producing high-quality computer peripherals designed with gamers in mind. The ultimate boy scout punches his way into your living room. Does Captain America: The First Avenger do justice to the red, white and Blu? Your pre-Avenger’s film collection can be complete with the release of Captain America: the First Avenger on Blu-ray. Cap might not be my favorite Marvel hero, but it’s nice to

Battlefield 3 [Review]

So here we are, the release date of Battlefield 3 has come and gone. The game is being played across the globe on consoles and PCs alike. Millions, if not, hundreds of thousands of players are engaging in combat across the sky in jets, thundering across the terrain in tanks or apcs, or capturing bases as infantry.

The game has many an attractive feature, whether it be the astounding environments in which nothing short of all out warfare is waged, the sound quality which makes the player feel like they are being shot at or that there is actually a jet screaming across the sky overhead, the smooth gun play which allows the skilled pros and the new to shooter players all feel like equals, and finally the continuous leveling system that encourages players to keep playing Battlefield 3 in the effort to get that next attachment or that next vehicle upgrade.

Spare Change: Batman Arkham City Collector’s Edition

The Dark Knight strikes again with the release of Batman Arkham City. But is this collector’s edition a hero or just a zero? Batman: Arkham City is the sequel of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Arkham Asylum is one my favorite collector’s editions of all time. Batman: Arkham City has an enormous task to exceed the high expectations that the original set.
