Okay this is disconcerting: we actually managed to watch a major motion picture within three weeks of the release date, instead of waiting three months (or years. Sometimes it’s years.) Have we turned over a new leaf or have we been replaced by alien pod people YOU DECIDE.
Major spoilers ahoy as we recap Star Wars: the Rise of Skywalker, spending an equal amount of time nitpicking the things we didn’t like and fangirling over all the things we did.

This week’s intro music is a clip from Far Out’s remix of the Force Theme. The outro is a clip from ShiryuGL’s “Star Wars Episode IV: A Chiptune Home” and you guys seriously you have to go listen to the whole album, it’s glorious. It’s also available for purchase on bandcamp! Go throw money at them!
Out of all the accidental noises in this episode (bumped mics, cats, distant planes, etc) the most noticeable was the fan on Elizabeth’s laptop, which always managed to kick on while she was speaking so it couldn’t be cut out, and was so close to the mic it picked up every time. Elizabeth’s making a note to put the mic someplace else.
And for anyone wondering, Elizabeth did check in with Andrew: he still dislikes The Last Jedi, and he enjoyed The Rise of Skywalker much more than he thought he would.
