Binary System Podcast #329: WTNV #213 “Murals”

It’s no secret that the Binary System Podcast team is always finding moments that would be perfect for fan art (we do love us some fan art). This week’s episode felt like the Welcome To Night Vale writers were throwing down multiple challenges to fan artists.

Listen in as we recap the City Council’s latest attempt to bring in some sweet, sweet tourist bucks by commissioning a dozen or so new murals by a not-so-anonymous artist. (Who’s name would have been a cute joke that we whiffed by not pronouncing it consistently. BANsky? BANKsy? Is that how it’s spelled? No way to know…)

It’s kind of a short episode this week since we still haven’t watched more Sandman (bad fans, no cookie), so after the recap we ramble a little bit about speakeasies, multi-purpose bars, the Hugo Award winners, and the vagaries of streaming services (Starz, why DO you only have season 1 of American Gods anyway?)
