On this week’s Night Vale recap, Harrison Kip’s god Dale has written a book and the Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home doesn’t think it’s worth much.
Yep. That’s a legitimate sentence you can write when you’re recapping Night Vale.
After that we jump into season three episode nine of Better Call Saul, which is a perfect example of how every character is way too good at masking: Jimmy can mask what a rat bastard he is by making an old woman cry; Chuck can mask how much electronics still hurt him while he’s threatening to sue his own company into oblivion; and Kim can mask all the effects of burning the candle at both end for weeks. Until she can’t. And also YIKES.
Plus there’s the usual tangents into 2016’s Sing, 2023’s Nimona, illuminated manuscripts, and why we’d pick Better Call Saul over Breaking Bad for a rewatch any old day.
