The internet is a terrible place full of some of the worst things imaginable. Miley Cyrus for example. Sometimes though good can fight its way to the top and finally save the princess after so many disappointing phoneys. After watching what would be the pilot of The Cartridge Family there can be no doubt that this new webseries has all the potential to be the shining rupee of the internets.
Created by Jackson Stewart (Supernatural) and directed by William Rot (Trick) with an impressive cast AJ Bowen (You’re Next), Graham Skipper (Almost Human), Mekenna Melvin (TV’s Chuck), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator) and Jeremy Slater (writer of Fox’s upcoming Fantastic Four), The Cartridge Family finds Jason, a thirty something gamer, residing with his favorite 8-bit game heroes; Sergio, Roboman and Twink (composites of Mario, Megaman and Link) and must help them face their greatest challenge yet – finding jobs.
What’s not to love?!

The only bad thing about this is that it’s not a full show yet, but that’s where the good nerds and geeks of the world can help. The Cartridge Family currently has an Indiegogo campaign with a goal of $35,000 to make a fully realized webseries with all the quality of the first episode, and then some. Dig deep into your coin pouches for this one because some of the incentives are really awesome. Such as challenging the creators at some old school NES games, to getting to die on screen in one of the first season’s episodes, and of course shirts and posters for the townsfolk.
If The Cartridge Family can exceed their goal than more goodness will follow as several incentive goals will unlock more episodes to be included into season one. Be sure to watch the video above and if you like what you see than you can donate HERE at their Indiegogo page, and support them through social media on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
