I know without a doubt that this list is probably missing some amazing names: one of my favorite “problems” is that there’s way too much talent out there to see all of it in one year. Bearing that in mind, this is a list of the artists, in no particular order, that caught my eye

We had to wait a little longer this time, but Lost Light 18 is here. (Honestly it wasn’t that long, but I knew I’d gotten spoiled when we got three issues in two months.) The end of the series is just over the horizon and so help me I’m going to avoid giving any spoilers
So between last issue and this issue we found out that the Unicron event this summer will be the end of Lost Light, along with every other Transformers storyline at IDW. Transformers will continue, IDW still has the license, but all the current stories will wrap up and there will be a full reboot and I’M
For the third issue in a row we’ve only had to wait two weeks for the next installment, which on the one hand is awesome because we’ve had a ton of dangling plot lines and they’re getting (sort of) resolved lightning fast. But on the other hand I am not going to be a pleasant
2017 was certainly an…interesting year, I think we can all agree on that one. But one of the bright spots was all the amazing art that came out of the comic book world. Here then, in no particular order, is a baker’s dozen of our favorite artists of 2017.

At long last, this issue we get the answer to the question that’s bugged me for months: how the hell did Getaway convince Blaster and Perceptor to turn into filthy mutineers? I can buy it from some obscure, background-filler, appeared-47-issues-ago-so-I’ve-forgotten-their-name-SORRY, but Perceptor? Blaster?? And the reason is both slightly unsatisfying and completely believable. And I
