Blue Isles Studios’ Slender: The Arrival, based on the Something Awful character the Slender Man, is coming to Steam courtesy of Majesco Studios’ Midnight City label just in time for Halloween.
Written by the creative team behind Marble Hornets, Slender: The Arrival is the official video game adaptation of the Slender Man mythos. It stars Laura, a realtor who finds her friend and client Kate missing from the property they’re selling together. Armed only with a flashlight, Laura searches for clues and documents her findings with a handheld camcorder, while malevolent beings steadily stalk her every move.
The Steam release of The Arrival expands on the features of its earlier independent release. Levels have been extended, and players will be forced to contend with a new antagonist. It will be available on Steam for $9.99 on October 28. It is also planned for a console release in the first quarter of 2014.
