[SDCC 2014] Marvel Panel – Avengers: Age of Ultron

The Marvel panel (specifically the Avengers: Age of Ultron portion) at San Diego Comic-Con was one of the most eagerly awaited, hard-to-get-into, and most talked about event of the convention. Thanks to photographer Hilary Papiro, we have dozens of photos of the panel, plus a video of the cast (Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Cobie Smulders, Elizabeth Olsen, James Spader, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Paul Bettany) as they took the stage to Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ’till You Get Enough.”

Robert Downey Jr. triumphantly  arrived with a briefcase full of red roses that he flung to the audience. Each of the cast entered to huge applause, Cobie Smulders and Elizabeth Olsen each getting a white rose from Robert.

One of the best moments of the panel was the reveal of Thanos, played by Josh Brolin. Josh walked on triumphantly holding up an Infinity Gauntlet, stomped to the microphone and demanded “Where’s my rose?” Robert Downey Jr. handed him a pink rose, and Josh immediately bit the head off it and spat petals everywhere.
