[E3 2013] Luigi’s got his own solo adventure for Wii U

A long a dark shadow was cast over E3 this year, cast by the failure of Xbox One and comparative success of PS4. It appeared as if a game wasn’t associated with either system wasn’t worth knowing. This let a lot of really fun upcoming games slip under the radar and go largely un-noticed at the convention. Gaming legends Nintendo has several games that went by with hardly a second glance from con goers, but they’ll be kicking themselves later when New Super Luigi U sneaks by them this summer.

[E3-2013] Hands On Mario Kart 8 – Impressions

E3 2013 is sadly behind us, and my feet have finally returned to working order. One of the highlights of any E3 is checking out what the 3 bigs have to offer. (Well, that and Nintendo always has the most cushy of carpets.) Before even getting near the booth you could feel the energy and fun coming off a screen containing Mario Kart 8

I’m more than familiar with the series, as it’s occupied almost every party I’ve held. While you could certainly play the game solo, it’s all about multiplayer. Luckily for me, Anthony was close by and was willing to get his ass handed to him.

Review – Castlevania: Mirror of Fate 3DS

Rating: 7.0

I’m a sucker for a good Castlevania game, and even more so on a handheld device. There is something special about getting to sit down and kill zombies on the go. This time around Konami went for the 3DS promising a 3D-2D Castlevania. So how does this game hold up to it’s predecessors? Is this the next great handheld Castlevania??

Nintendo Details Wii U Launch – November 18, 2012

We know what, where, and when, but did Nintendo really address the concerns and answer the questions they needed to?

Assuming you haven’t been living under a rock for the past 27 years (29 if you reside in the swanky, get-every-awesome-piece-of-electronics-first Asian market), you will be fully aware that an impending Nintendo console generation launch is a big nerdy deal.

Well, it’s big nerdy deal time again. Nintendo will be launching its questionably-named Wii U Console in North America on Sunday, November 18th. This news comes as a result of a well-publicized meet-and-greet thrown by NOA earlier this week in New York, and broadcast via Nintendo’s increasingly impressively effective website, www.nintendo.com

Review – Does the 3DS Replace the DS?

Somethings just seems to go together, peanut butter and jelly, Maro and Luigi and Nintendo and handhelds.

The portable market is in a bit of a shake up thanks to the Android and iPhones, and Nintendo’s DS system is in need of a revamp. The new 3DS certainly doesn’t stray far from the working predecessor, it’s certainly an improvement, and later this year it’s going to be given the XL treatment. Does the 3DS replace your current DS? Or is the 3D just a gimmick?

3DS goes XL

The 3Ds Portable scene is about to get the extra large treatment. As a man with rather large hands, all I can do is clap in excitement. While most gamers were waiting for this announcement from E3 2012, it seems Nintendo went for the element of surprise.

[Video Review] Memorex Universal Game Selector for DS

Sick of having to pick just one DS game before you leave the house?

Huge Update for the Nintendo 3DS this Holiday Season

Although the high price of the Nintendo 3DS deterred many potential customers at first, the company seems determined to really give the customers what they want. In addition to the somewhat recent price drop, Nintendo is also releasing a whole slew of new games and features that will “make Nintendo 3DS a smart gift option this holiday season,” said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.

As a precursor to their exciting system update, Nintendo has released a new 3D animation available for download from the eShop, and will “soon” (though no exact date has been set) begin to deliver 3D music videos. These new 3D videos seem to simply be gearing fans up for the end of November, when Nintendo’s big update will hit.

So what’s the next big thing for the Nintendo 3DS? Read On
