As the audience got ready for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, many slept outside for this panel and they were ready. They started the panel with the new trailer. As the cheers kept going the panel started and the stars walked on stage.

As Saturday drew to a close at Comic Con in Hall H the moment and the panel everyone wanted and had waited hours for was about to begin. The Marvel Studios panel was about to commence. People slept over night just for a glimpse of what was to come in this, the most anticipated panel for the whole weekend. Marvels Panels in the past have had more surprise than anyone could count. And this year was going to be no different. As the lights came up and Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige took the stage with moderator, The Nerdist, Chris Hardwick all seemed normal, until the light went out, lighting stuck the stage and villainous Loki appeared to start what was to be the panel to ends all panels at comic con.

[SDCC 2013] The World’s End at Hall H

With the final installment of The Cornetto Trilogy to be released in US theaters on August 23rd, Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and moderator Chris Hardwick met with fans at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H to answer questions about the film The World’s End.

It’s easy to see there’s a long-standing friendship between Pegg, Wright, and Frost, going by how well they played off of each other while answering the audience’s questions. And by how much they made fun of each other.

Entertainment Weekly’s “The Visionaries” panel in Hall H was a true meeting of the minds: directors Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 500 Days of Summer), Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, Children of Men), and Edgar Wright (Spaced, The World’s End, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) sat down and just talked about filmmaking.

While other panels have exclusive video footage or superstars up on the screen, these three can tell stories for an hour and have the audience completely entranced.

[SDCC 2013] Europa Report takes over Hall H

One of the surprises of this year’s Comic-Con was the panel for Magnolia Pictures’ movie Europa Report. The surprise wasn’t the panel itself, but that it was held in Hall H. Compared with the splashy, big-budget productions that usually take over the hall, the science fiction “documentary” Europa Report seems an odd fit for Comic-Con’s biggest room. Many of the attendees were just holding their places in anticipation of the Dexter panel later.

But that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the cast and crew, who treated the audience to a lively discussion and exclusive footage of the film.
