Review: South Park: The Fractured But Whole

There was a time when nobody thought a good South Park game could be made, and then, in 2014, The Stick of Truth was released. After receiving raving reviews and praise for The Stick of TruthSouth Park series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker vowed to never work on a video game again. The development process for the game proved to be much more physically and emotionally taxing than the duo originally expected. So after the release of The Stick of Truth nobody expected to hear about another game in the series. Fast forward to the Ubisoft conference at E3 2015, and lo and behold, we got a trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole. After two years, the follow up to The Stick of Truth is here! The South Park Experience at SDCC

The San Diego Comic-Con is great at bringing things to the public they have never seen before, or giving them the chance to experience something near and dear to them. This year was no exception, particularly thanks to South Park and Comedy Central. Once again South Park was right in the middle of Comic-Con and the heart of San Diego’s Historic Gaslamp district. There attendees could wait in line and have an experience made just for South Park fans.

[E3 2013] Impressions South Park Stick of the Truth

While the Ubisoft booth was bumping with newly announced titles. There was a rather long line to see the upcoming South Park Game developed by resident Irvine company Obsidian. With Matt Stone and Trey Paker dropping by the booth, you knew this game was something to behold. We made our ways to see the glorious South Park RPG.

Since I was familiar with the previous South Park video games, I had a general idea of what this game would be like. And what I witnessed was sheer bliss, a game that looks almost indistinguishable to the TV show. The presentation blew my mind as much of the show’s humor was clear and present.

E3 2012: South Park Creators Announce First RPG Game, Stick of Truth

In the midst of a fairly quiet (and Usher-esque) conference by Microsoft at E3 2012, fans were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of the popular comedy series South Park.  The two were happy to announce — after some teasing in December of last year — that their first RPG, featuring the characters of South Park, is in development.

South Park parodies EA's newest Tiger Woods Game

Tonight, South Park started its’ newest season and as always, doesn’t disappoint.  South Park is one of the few shows that always stays relevant with pop culture.  In the video below, the people from South Park Studios show that they keep up with sports (Tiger Woods), entertainment (gossip) and gaming (EA) news all in one clip.

A video used to be embedded here but the service that it was hosted on has shut down.

Eric Cartman singing Poker Face on Rock Band 2

Two of my favorite things have just mashed up so nicely together.  Lady Gaga and Eric Cartman.  In the video below, you can see and hear what it’s like to play one of the new downloadable songs on Rock Band. I think this is one of the greatest mash-ups I’ve experienced since peanut butter and strawberry jelly Smuckers.

Btw, tonight is the start of a new South Park season. Watch it!

South Park has been around for quite sometime, sense my early days of High School I’ve been something of a fan. With a huge successful franchise usually brings about a Video Game. South Park has had a couple of these, while I did enjoy the FPS N64 version there hasn’t been any that have caught my eye. Well that was until I heard there was going to be a South Park Tower Defense Game. I was first introduced to Tower Defense with Field Runners on the iPhone sense then it’s been something of an addiction. How does South Park’s leap into the Tower Defense Genre hold up?
