Twenty-six years after the release of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, DC Entertainment and Warner Premiere are releasing Part 1 of the story that changed Batman forever. Penned by Frank Miller (who also re-wrote Batman’s early days in Batman: Year One, animated this time last year), the original brought a new gritty edge to the Dark Knight that has been his calling card since.
Just last month, we were given the trailer to The Dark Knight Returns, and now just today the first clip of Part 1 has been released to give us a brief look at the style and feel of this animated film.
It’s also a giant tease because it’s just not enough. Why isn’t it Sept 25th yet? Enjoy the clip after the break.
