This week on Comic Issues it’s HAMMER TIME!!! After hosting the wildly fun Thor @ 4 event at Edwards Mira Mesa, you the fans joined us for a recording dedicated to the Thunder God himself. Take a ride on the rainbow road with an Thor-tastic episode.
Greetings True Believers! The upcoming Thor movie is nearly upon us and we want to celebrate the Thunder God’s arrival with all of our Comic Issues listeners. This upcoming Saturday (May 7th) Comic Issues will be having a Thor Meet Up and we’re encouraging every listener who can make it. To attend and watch what may very well be the greatest comic book movie of the year with your favorite podcastin’-pals.
After the movie we’ll be recording viewer’s reactions of the movie that we’ll be posting on the website, and if that’s not enough incentive, the Ci Crew will be going right to their not-so-secret hideout of Keith’s Restaurant to record 2 podcasts where YOU are invited to be our first live audience!
We love our listeners, and we wouldn’t love this podcast as much as we do without all of your support. Hope to see you there.
Hello again my friends! I am your humble and awesome host, Anthony Silva of Comic Issues fame, back again with my week of reviews for 4/6/11. It was a light week for me, so I took the opportunity to try out a couple books that aren’t usually on my list. They say variety is the spice of life, and if that’s true then you gotta shake things up once in a while to keep it fresh. This week I got three new books that I’ve known of, but haven’t taken the leap to try out until now.
Also a little special news for you, the Comic Issues cast will be attending Kingdom Con! It’s an great little gaming convention in sunny San Diego, Ca with all the heart of our last convention Anime Conji and half of the Black Butler cos-players! If you’re in the area or you’re looking for a reason to make a road trip, come by and spot us spinning dice and kickin’ some orc ass!
It’s Wednesday and you know what that means? Well sure it’s new comic book day, but it’s also time for another adventure with the Comic Issues Podcast.
On today’s exciting episode of Comic Issues, join our heroes as we tackle the Future Foundation. Hold a casting call as make our picks for an Excalibur Movie. Then discuss those all so lovable but lame Superheroes.
Ever since the release of X-Men: The Last Stand, my opinion about the recent X-Men films has been quite negative. X-Men Origins: Wolverine didn’t help much either, so I’m understandably skeptical about X-Men: First Class. Yet, after watching the trailer, I can’t help but wonder if this will be the X-Men film that saves the franchise.
Wednesday for me has always been Comic Book Day, in which you would make a pit stop at your fav shop and pic up the newly released books. With that in mind it’s time to celebrate with a brand new podcast.
The Podcast is called Comic Issues, perhaps the name isn’t a dead giveaway but we talk a little bit about comics :) That’s not all, join the crew of Comic Issues: Anthony, Andrew, Darren and Daryck as we chat about all of our favorite Geek subjects.
This week promises to be a fantastic one. Or perhaps fantastic four, with the crew of a brand new Podcast making it’s premiere this Wednesday, Feb 9th, on PixelatedGeek. So what is this new podcast all about? What wonders are there to behold? Talk a look, it’s in a Comic Book.
We are just days away from the official release date of the long-awaited Marvel VS Capcom 3.
We’ve played this game at E3 and PAX, seen exhibition matches played and streamed online from EVO. February 15th couldn’t come any sooner. (I want to bash heads in with my lifebar using Deadpool, now!)
Past the break, is the official intro video you will, no doubt, be skipping every time you start up the game. Are you as excited as we are?
The Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds release date is approaching, and the little boy or girl in us all cannot help but jump and SCREAM with excitement. With only three weeks remaining until launch, Marvel and Capcom have announced another pair of toons. Marvel brings back well known Sentinel, a robot solely made to destroy the X-Men. Capcom announces Hsien-Ko, a character looking like she came straight from an anime with blue skin and long, devastating, feline arms. Marvel vs Capcom 3 will be released on February 15, and, personally, I am counting down the days until I can play as Super Skrull.
